Backache Regimen
Summary: If pain is in the upper back or shoulder, perform the Liver Cleanse. If pain is in the lower back, perform the Kidney Cleanse, practice Straight Line back stretching, and exercise the stomach muscles.
Many times, using a good 1:1 ratio calcium magnesium supplement like Solaray Cal-Mag Citrate enough to get at least 100% RDA magnesium daily, plus drinking adequate water, is all that is necessary to alleviate back pain, whether the upper or lower back.
When pain is in the upper back or shoulder, the most likely cause is a clogged liver. Using Futurebiotic Silymarin Plus is all that is generally needed, along with adequate water, although 100% RDA magnesium is good for long term use after the 2 to 3 week duration liver cleanse regimen is complete. It may speed results to give the liver a break by limiting carbs plus trans fats and hydrogenated oils in the diet.
When pain is in the lower back, results can be slower. The most important supplement is magnesium to clean the kidneys and this should be used long term. The Water Cure is necessary as well, and it alone can effect major benefits used alone. Using a kidney supplement like Planetary Formula's Stone Free for a couple of weeks will speed the results. Practicing Straight Line back stretching can alleviate some pain in a short time if the problem was cause by undue compression. Pain relief will come quickly as the problem is repaired, and minerals like calcium and magnesium relax the muscles which provides some relief, but if additoinal pain relief is needed, bromelain capsules can be taken in large amounts (4 to 6 capsules at a time as needed).
Turmeric extract (curcumin) is also an excellent anti-inflammatory and COX-2 inhibitor but cannot be taken in large amounts since too much may upset the stomach. If needed, use 1 or 2 capsules two or three times per day.
Lower back pain can also occur in young, active people who have no nutritional deficiencies. This can be caused by muscle imbalance between the front and back of the body. Many sports and exercises strengthen the shoulders and back, but few strengthen the abdominal muscles. And the activities that strengthen the back can be surprising, such as walking, jogging, and bicycling, and not-so-surprising, like swimming, weight lifting, and many team sports. If the back muscles become too strong in relation to the abdominal muscles, it puts stress on the lower back. It is necessary to create balance by performing abdominal exercises. Even just using a contraction exercise on a regular basis, tightening up the abdominal muscles for a few seconds, then releasing, is generally sufficient to prevent problems.
Sciatica Regimen
Summary: Use Enzymatic Therapy Doctor's Choice for Joint Health, bromelain in large amounts for pain, back stretching, and The Water Cure. If there is not a large improvement within two days or sooner, use Inclined Bed Therapy.
The sciatic nerve exits the spinal column between the lowest lumbar vertebral body (L5) and first level of the sacrum (S1). It supplies sensation to the posterior thigh and buttock, knee flexors, and foot muscles. When this nerve is compressed, inflamed, or irritated anywhere along its length, pain may result. The term sciatica refers to a pain that radiates from the lower back into the buttocks and down the back of one or both legs. The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve of the body.
Further measures to speed progress include ensuring adequate vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids (EFAs) with the General Maintenance Regimen and following The Zone Diet which reduces inflammation. Practice straight line Back Stretching and see a chiropracter if needed.
Bromelain, which is pineapple enzyme, is a good pain reliever since it can be taken in very large amounts without causing stomach upset. Turmeric extract, also known as curcumin, is an even better anti-inflammatory (and COX-2 inhibitor) and can be added to the regimen for additional pain relief, but should only be taken at recommended amounts since too much at one time can upset the stomach. Someone on the rife listserver wrote and asked if there were any rife frequencies that may help sciatica.
A respected researcher on the rife list wrote this:
"{While we had no success using a Rife Bare device for treating sciatica,} It may be of interest to you to learn we did achieve some quite measurable successes utilizing a variation of Richard Lloyd's version of the Super Thumpy type magnetic pulser. These anecdotal evaluations were conducted in calendar 1999-2000.....on a relatively small (8) population. Many different settings (from .5 to 5 sec. pulse frequency) and application times (3 min. to 45 min.) were tried. Someone else wrote that they had a long standing problem with sciatica that was relieved by using candida frequencies on a rife device, although he had no idea why this helped since candida is not associated with sciatica.

It might be difficult to find a doctor who uses this modality since, as you know, anything that is frowned on by the medical esablishment results in few doctors willing to try it--but, believe me, it is worth it!!!
